Which storage size should I choose?
Choose between 64GB and 128GB storage. Both versions are supplied with games on the installed SD card. The searchable library is based on the 128GB version; a title appearing there does not confirm inclusion on 64GB. Library entries can include regional versions and duplicates, so they should not be read as a count of unique games. Contact us before ordering if a particular title matters to you.
Do I need internet or a subscription?
No subscription or Wi-Fi is needed for solo play. The games are supplied on the installed SD card. Wireless multiplayer needs the separately sold Multiplayer Kit and a shared 2.4GHz network.
Can I save progress?
Use SELECT + X during a game to open the quick menu, then choose Save State or Load State and select the appropriate slot. The shortcuts are SELECT + R1 to save and SELECT + L1 to load.
What comes in the box?
The console, installed SD card, USB-C charging cable, user manual and screen protector.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 8 hours. Actual time depends on the game, screen brightness and use.
Can two people play together?
Compatible games support two-player wireless play. Each person needs a Retro Kid™ Original and a Multiplayer Kit, with both consoles using the same game on the same 2.4GHz network. N64 and PS1 multiplayer are not supported.
