Before you start
Use two Retro Kid™ Original consoles, one Multiplayer Kit for each console and a shared 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Both players need the same supported game. N64 and PS1 multiplayer are not supported.
Connect both consoles
- Turn off the console. Attach the USB-C OTG adapter to the bottom USB port, then attach the Wi-Fi dongle.
- Turn the console on and wait for the adapter to be detected.
- Open a game, press SELECT + X, then go to Settings and Wi-Fi.
- Enable Wi-Fi, select the 2.4GHz network and enter its password. Repeat on the second console.
Host and join
- Open the same game on both consoles.
- On the first console, press SELECT + X, choose Netplay, then Start Netplay Host.
- On the second console, open Netplay and choose Refresh Netplay LAN List. Select the host.
- Use Netplay and Disconnect to leave the session.
For a smoother session
Stay close to the router and check that both consoles use the same network. If joining fails, close the game on both consoles and let the host start again first. The adapters can become warm during wireless play, so avoid holding them and supervise younger players.
